View project Creating Financially-Savvy Citizens View project Entrepreneurship Millions of Filipinos live on less than P13.00 a day. Many work overseas or start a small business to provide for their families. To help them on their journey towards a better life, we equip the ultra-poor, the overseas workers and their families, and the micro-small business owners with essential skills to start, scale, and sustain an enterprise. And our return on investment? Knowing that for every entrepreneur we mentor, a community gains jobs, grows in dignity, and gathers the momentum to rise out of poverty. Education Having the right mindset about money at an early age is key to enjoying life-long financial wellness. That’s why we develop learning resources that help public school teachers integrate financial education into the K-12 curriculum. It’s never too late to get on the right track to financial health. Our financial literacy program teaches farmers and overseas Filipinos how to make better decisions on spending, saving, and investing their hard-earned money. Environment Climate change impacts many aspects of development like food security, livelihood, and governance. To better prepare communities, we work with experts in developing solutions for sustainable cities—from helping businesses adapt to climate risk to working with local governments for disaster-readiness. We also work with smallholder farmers in increasing their lands’ yield through sustainable farming practices. Financial Literacy BPI Foundation cares about the financial wellness of the communities it serves. To further equip Filipinos with tools that will help them lead comfortable lives, the Foundation has set up financial literacy and empowerment programs that enable Filipinos here and abroad to gain knowledge on good financial habits, financial instruments and investment options. The programs are tailor-fit for the respective financial goals and capabilities of kids, teens, young professionals, overseas Filipinos, farmers and more.
